So this is pretty much old news, but I caught the Warcraft movie the week before the last and it was GREAT! Sure, it was no Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, but I didn't walk into the cinemas expecting that. What we have here is a decent video game adaptation that successfully introduce a fantasy world to brand new audiences. Even my fiance who isn't a gamer liked the movie. With that said, the movie does have its flaws. I'm on the fence with the lore alterations from game to movie. I understand why they did it... for the most part. But there are some character personality changes that I'm not too happy about. Just to clarify, I only played Warcraft 2, 3 and Hearthstone, so my knowledge of the Warcraft lore is limited to Nobbel87's YouTube channel. But from my memory, Orgrim Doomhammer was a badass. He beheaded Blackhand to become the chieftain of the Blackrock clan. He was the only Orc that had the balls to go against Gul'Dan. He was also the warchief of the entire Horde during Warcraft 2. But the movie portrayed him to be an indecisive weakling, at least in my opinion. I felt that I need to create a painting to show him in the correct light. A painting that showcases Orgrim Doomhammer as one of the most heroic warchief the Horde has ever seen.
